With extensive experience across the Telecoms and FinTech sectors, Mark was appointed as Executive Chairman of RTX RouteTrader in late 2019, with a brief to develop and create an Industry leading Telecom/FinTech business.
Previously, Mark was CEO of the Caudwell Group (2020 Mobile), where he took a loss making UK mobile phone distributor to become the world’s most profitable Telecoms value-add logistics and FM provider, growing revenues from £60M to in excess of £1.3Bn. Whilst at Caudwell he introduced Pre-Pay to the UK & international mobile market, developed and innovated the MVNO concept to major retailers (including Tesco and Virgin Mobile) and became Nokia’s largest global handset provider, eventually selling the Group to private equity for £1.5Bn.
Post exit, Mark had a successful Portfolio & Investment career including becoming the major seed Investor and initial Chairman for The Hut Group. THG – which floated on the LSE in 2020 and is now the largest online global beauty and wellness omni-channel retailer with an enterprise value > £7Bn+.
Additionally, Mark also sits on the DMP (Advisory Panel), for the Chief Economist of the Bank Of England.
Pierre has 20 years’ finance experience working for global investment banks and as CFO for high growth companies. Prior to Routetrader, Pierre was with Cera, Europe’s largest digital-first healthcare-at-home provider. In this leadership role particular focus was placed on scaling the business and raising additional growth equity and acquisition financing.
Prior to taking up CFO and senior finance positions at various high growth companies in the technology, media and telecom sectors, Pierre spent well over a decade at UBS Investment Bank and RBC Capital Markets in the M&A, corporate finance and capital markets departments where he advised on numerous mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and IPOs. Additionally, Pierre has been an advisory board member for high growth companies throughout his career.
Pierre holds a master’s degree in Financial Economics from Erasmus University and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and he is a CFA charter holder.
Aqueel has over 15 years proven strategic sales experience, of which 10 are in the telecommunications industry and 5 of those at RTX.
With extensive experience of working in start-ups he is instrumental in RouteTrader’s international growth and expansion plans.
Responsible for recruitment and ongoing management of the sales team and oversight of the technical elements of the business he brings over 450 key relationships globally, with Tier 1/ Tier 2 carriers and niche suppliers, having achieved over $1 billion in revenue during his career.
Aqueel graduated with honours from Leeds University.
Dave holds a doctorate in computer science and as co-founder of Routetrader he was the original software architect of the RTX platform. Dave created the RTX partner program and personally delivered the white label platforms to some of RTX’s key partners including Telia and PCCW.
With over 40 years’ experience in the IT industry he has managed multiple large-scale global IT development projects and system deployments for multinational IT firms. Before RTX, Dave was the Technical Director for Accuserve (part of the Acceleron group of companies), responsible for IT delivery on key accounts such as Muller, T-Mobile, Yorkshire Electricity, Vodafone, HP & Microsoft.
Dave still enjoys to code, creating new software for the business, alongside producing the technology road map. He also manages the development and support teams that look after the day to day operations to ensure our customers get the best experience when using the RTX platform.
